India is seeing an unprecedented economical growth which results in large companies and multinationals investing in India. Visitors can usually get by with English, especially in towns and cities. The rapidly growing software sector is boosting service exports and modernising the economy. However, the majority of the extra jobs generated are filled from within. The country is capitalising on the large numbers of well-educated people skilled in English. India is becoming a major exporter of software services and software workers, but decent job opportunities for qualified foreign workers still remain.
