Because of its small size transport is mainly land based in Singapore.
Singapore has a highly developed and well-maintained road and highway network. Driving is done on the left-hand side of the road. Motorists should be particularly aware of motorcyclists, who often ignore lane markings. Lanes are frequently closed without warning due to construction throughout the city. Cars are expensive in Singapore, though. But otherwise rentals or buying your own car is not a big problem. Public transportation and taxis are abundant, inexpensive, and reliable. The bus system is also well-developed.
