The official language in Andorra is Catalan, which is also spoken in the north eastern provinces of Spain (Catalonia and Valencia). Catalan is a Roman language in the Indo-European language family. It is traditionally viewed as a mixture of Spanish, French and Italian, but phonetically it is closer to Portuguese.
