The language situation in Belgium is complex. The majority of people in Belgium speak Flemish, the Belgian dialect of Dutch. A large minority speaks French, and a small minority speaks German. Those are the three official languages in Belgium. In Brussels though, only Dutch and French are official. Some speak Walloon as a second language. There is a tiny minority speaking Luxemburgish. Other than that the many foreigners spice the language picture of Belgium.
