Health care in Finland

Public healthcare is available to all residents in Finland, regardless of their financial situation. It comprises primary healthcare, provided by municipal health centres and specialised hospital care. To claim reimbursement of medical costs all residents must obtain a KELA card, which indicates the eligibility for social security in Finland. The average life expectancy is 75 years for men and 82 years for women.
