Public transportation and infra-structure in Germany

High-speed vehicular traffic has a long tradition in Germany given that the first motorway (Autobahn) in the world and the world's first cars were developed and built in Germany. It possesses one of the densest road systems in the world, but due to its central location in Europe also one of the most trafficked. At peak hours long queues often form on the central highways. Germany also has a widespread railway system connecting most of the country. However, rail transport can be quite expensive although numerous savings opportunities exist. Germany has many international airports in all regions of the country and Frankfurt International Airport is one of the busiest in Europe.
