Iceland offers a very good job market for foreigners compared to the country's population size. The unemployment rate is very low and a lot of construction work and infra structure work is going on and is planned in the coming years, although the recent economical crisis has hit those sectors. Most Icelanders themselves work in the service industry while foreigners tend to work in the secondary industry. Although the growth rate has slowed down it is expected to rise again in the coming years.
