The Netherlands has excellent public transport. Larger cities and areas are well connected with trains, buses and trams. There is also an extensive system of bike paths. Trains are often a convenient alternative to driving, particularly in the areas around Amsterdam, The Hague, and Rotterdam. Rental cars are available and road conditions are generally good although the larger cities see congestion during rush hours.
