The Portuguese infra-structure has seen considerably improvements in the past decades. Portugal has a wide network of roads and superhighways linking the main urban areas. There are reliable and cheap express busses between the towns. Portugal also has decent railways although the trains are most usable between major cities as the service is infrequent and cumbersome in rural areas. Portugal has several international airports linking it to the rest of Europe and beyond.
