Turkey has a relatively high unemployment rate and there are restrictions on some professions including medical doctors, dentists and lawyers, which can only be taken by Turks. However, there are more and more multinational companies in Turkey where foreigners can take up jobs. There is, furthermore, a lack of English teachers and trained engineers.
