The Turkish economy has shown high growth in the past decades and this, combined with the many varied locations that Turkey has to offer, has led to a very vibrant and large expat community. The professional globe dweller works in one of the large cities or lives a more relaxed life in the more touristic areas near the black sea and the Mediterranean. However, very few expats are found in the much poorer Eastern Turkey.
