Nationals from most Arab and Western countries do not require a visa prior to visiting the United Arab Emirates. Most people obtain a work permit sponsored by their future employer before they enter the country. However, it is also possible to enter the country on an entry visa, then find a job and change the status to obtain a work permit without leaving the country. In general it is fairly easy to obtain residence and work permit for highly skilled and educated globedwellers.
