Escape to New Zealand...
Anytime you shake up your life and move to a new place, whether it’s intended to be permanent, or just a part-time residence, it’s stressful. It would be great if you had a friend in the country you were going to, someone who could literally walk you through all the intricacies of living in your new ‘home’. But, unfortunately most of us have to go it alone, and that can be very frustrating.
To assist you with the break-in period and to ease the stress that this decision creates, we’ve put together a resource that will outline the most important things to consider before moving to New Zealand. As a good friend of mine likes to say, “Contacts are valuable.” Finding the people who are well-connected, reliable, and trustworthy is a tough go. And, as you probably already know, utilizing the ‘wrong’ contacts can set you back significantly, both in time and money.
A Kiwi passport is a valuable one. The country is small, friendly and benign. Kiwi’s are generally pleasant, and they are well-received almost everywhere they travel. New Zealand has maintained a relatively neutral position on many political issues, and has a strong anti-nuclear stance. This has led to it becoming something of a ‘Switzerland’ of the South Pacific – at least as far as international relations go. It could just by the IDEAL place for a second home or part-time residence.
