In a new study published in "Journal of Economic Growth" danish scientists prove that greater international interaction leads to higher productivity.
According to one of the authors, Carl-Johan Dalgaard, everything that increases travel activity will in turn increase the wealth and productivity.
Adding in a comment to Jyllandsposten on the significance of this relationship in explaining the wealth of Denmark: "Our calculations show that when travel activity is increased by five percent, we are able to raise the level of our wealth by one percent, equivalent to 18 billion danish kroner (approx. 2.4 billion euro).
The mechanism behind this correlation is simple; New knowledge, ideas, and technologies will spread more quickly to countries with a population on the move.
